"WHERE TWO OR THREE ARE GATHERED IN MY NAME, I AM THERE. " |
Child Protection Team Child Protection Team All our parishes have received from the Diocese of Cardiff policies and procedures for all those who have a ministry of acre for children, young people or vulnerable adults. These policies and procedures flow from the fundamental belief that the abuse of children, young people and vulnerable adults is gravely sinful and unjust. Such abuse is also a crime. It can take the form of physical, emotional, sexual abuse or neglect. The purpose of these policies and procedures is to create a safer environment for our children, young people and vulnerable adults. The Archdiocese embraces ad upholds the policies and procedures, and is to be adopted by all parishes and faith communities throughout the Archdiocese. For a look at our Parish policy click on this link St. Helen's Parish Policy. It is also displayed in the Church Hall and the Church Porch. The Archdiocese recognises the work that all volunteers do in the Parish and the vital role they play in the life of the Catholic community. Their help is essential to the smooth running of parish activities. Their role is greatly appreciated. It is important that selecting new volunteers is to follow good procedure. To date we have many members of our community with formal involvement with children, young people and vulnerable adults. These members' names and ministries, in which they are involved, appear on a list displayed in the Parish Community Hall, and all have undergone the procedures for a Criminal Records Check. If you would like to know more information on our policies and procedures code of conduct please use the contact us page to get in touch with our team. |
