Prayer to Our Lady of Penrhys

O Almighty God, we thank you for your Mother's shrine,

dedicated in ancient times to the honour of the Blessed Virgin Mary.

Following the example of our predecessors in the faith,

we, your people still gather once more spiritually around

the hillside of Penrhys, to celebrate the honour you bestowed

on Mary, when you chose her to bring forth among all your people

your own Eternal Son.

Accept our love and prayers today and as we invoke Our Lady of Penrhys,

may future generations continue to call her blessed.

For when we look at her image and place our prayers before her shrine,

we recall the love that Jesus, your Son showed his mother,

when at her pleading, he was moved to accomplish the first signs at Cana.

Hence, through our communion, in Christ, with all his saints, we make our own

the prayers of all, who, at Penrhys will seek Our Lady's aid.
