Rhondda parish Council

Meeting 3^rd October 2011

Minutes were read, and deemed to be true and accurate minutes.

Ist Communion group-

Jason asked if it was possible for the children to receive their instruction in the school, as this was how it happened in the past, and that this would possibly work out better for the children. Fr David had some concerns as to this happening, pointing out that this would be a problem if there were children in the group who did not attend the school. Further discussion will take place at the next meeting.

Cleaning of the church-

It was asked if a rota could be put in place, this was agreed Fr Gareth to action.

Stained Glass-

It was asked if there was any plans to put some sort of stained glass in the church, some discussion took place, but nothing was agreed, and would be left for further discussion.

Fr David has received a letter from Barry Thomas and the people who have bought Ferndale church, both letters needed answering.

Finance meeting-

Lynne asked if a meeting could take place as soon as Karen returns from her holidays.

Archbishop Stack-

Jason asked if the Archbishop, could come to bless the alter. Fr David will action.

Photographs of Parish Council members-

Jason asked that photographs of members could be displayed in the church foyer. Fr David pointed out that there was little space for this in the foyer. Further discussion to take place.
