Welcome to St Dyfrig's Church!

Important Message from Fr Allan

The new and much more virulent and contagious strain of the Coronavirus means that will have to take even more precautions than we already do.

Canon John Kelly informs me that he and other priests have decided that it would be prudent not to celebrate public masses for the time being. I understand that this will be happening in various parishes including Caerphilly, Bargoed, all of the Merthyr parishes, Bridgend and three of the parishes of Cardiff East.  All Saints Newport will cancel public masses after the octave of Christmas.

I understand that people will already have reserved places for the Christmas masses and also for next Sunday 27th December at St Dyfrig's and All Hallows. These masses will go ahead as planned and the cleaners and those who will sanitize the churches will continue to do that. However, from Monday 28th December all masses will be streamed from St Dyfrig's. The times will be as they are printed in the Christmas newsletter. This situation will continue until things feel safer

I would urge everyone to abide by the current regulations and obviously stay at home if you feel unwell. Please share this with your family and friends who do not have access to the internet. Thank you for your patience and understanding at this time. I hope that you will keep safe and well. Please keep all those who are sick in your prayers and please be assured of my prayers for a holy and peaceful Christmas.

We now have pages on Virgin Money Giving for donations to be made to both parishes during this time when normal collections cannot be taken.

When donating via Virgin Money there is a box available for comment. Parishioners can specify in this section a specific destination for their donation, e.g. Parish Funds, Easter Offering, Mass Intention etc.

To donate to the Online Parish Offertory visit our Virgin Money Giving page. (This is quite straightforward and should only take a minute or two).  If you need help during this difficult time, please reach out. We're here to help.

I would like to thank all those who have already donated to our parishes online and also by sending their weekly envelopes/collection to the presbytery by post or by putting it through the letterbox. Thank you all very much indeed.

Fr Allan
