Chaplaincy to the University of South Wales
The Catholic Church works in partnership with other Christian denominations to provide a Chaplaincy Team to the University of South Wales. No separate chaplaincy provision for Catholic students or staff is provided: Catholic members of the university community are encouraged to attend the events run by the Chaplaincy, some of which are intended for Christians, and others of which are open to students and/or staff regardless of religious affiliation or personal belief.
Mass Times
On Sundays, no separate provision is made for the University; Treforest and Glyntaf-based students and staff will find St Dyfrig’s Church to be their nearest Catholic Mass. Other Masses in the deanery can be found here.
University members at the Cardiff Atrium Campus or at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama may wish to worship at the Cardiff Chaplaincy, at the Metropolitan Cathedral, or any of our Cardiff City churches.
University members at the Merthyr College Campus will find their local Mass at one of our Merthyr Churches.
Members of the Chaplaincy Team will gladly meet with Cardiff or Merthyr-based students at those sites on request.
